Margi Sharp Douglas and Rachel Murdy originally joined forces with director Cynthia Croot to create the original “The Millay Sisters: A Cabaret.” The piece was then performed at The Ancram Opera House in upstate New York.
In 2014 Joan Jubett and Peter Szep joined the collaboration as director/writer and musical director/accompanist for a new 2 Act version commissioned by Judith Jerome artistic director at The Stonington Opera House.
It has since gone on to be performed at Don’t Tell Mama, 53 Above, The Abingdon Arts Complex, and Gowanis Loft in NYC; and at the Orlando Cabaret Festival/Mad Cow Theater, Orlando, FL.
“Margi Sharp and Rachel Murdy certainly have the pipes to pull it off… Their singing of period songs is a pure delight.“—Backstage
